The crows tell you everything.You talk to ravens, listen to old graveyards and are not remotely afraid of the dark. Some call you spooky. You call it being well informed.

The Mirror Witch or Wizard
Nothing about you is quite what it seems.Illusion is your art. You can make a room fall silent with a single trick and leave before anyone works out how you did it.

The Rune Witch or Wizard
Every word you write is a lock or a key.You study the oldest symbols ever carved and you know exactly what each one does. Your wards are unbreakable, and so, sadly, is your handwriting.

Witch or Wizard trials and ranks
Your rank depends on two things: the trial you choose and how many of its lore questions you answer correctly. The personality questions decide your magical path, never your rank. Only the hard trial can reach the two highest ranks.

About the witch or wizard quiz
This witch and wizard personality quiz has two parts. Seven questions about your spells, tools and temper decide which of the six magical paths you follow. Then you choose a trial on real witch lore, from Circe and Baba Yaga to the Salem and Pendle witch trials. The harder the trial and the more answers you get right, the higher your rank in the coven and the more powerful your witch or wizard name.

How does the witch quiz work?
Answer seven personality questions to find your magical path. Then pass a lore trial, easy, medium or hard, to earn your rank in the coven. The harder the trial and the more answers you get right, the higher your rank, up to Grand Magus.
Is the witch quiz free?
Yes. The quiz, your path, your rank and your witch or wizard name are free. Only the printable personalised diploma is paid: €6.99, or €9.99 together with a gift diploma for a friend.
Can I be a wizard instead of a witch?
Yes. Before your verdict you choose Witch, Wizard or the gender-neutral Mage, and your title, rank and diploma follow your choice.
Which ranks can I earn?
From lowest to highest: Apprentice, Initiate, Adept, Enchantress or Enchanter, Sorceress or Sorcerer, Archmage and Grand Magus. Archmage and Grand Magus are only possible in the hard trial.
What is the difference between a witch and a wizard?
In folklore both practise magic. The old English word for witch was used for men and women alike, while today witch is mostly used for women and wizard for men.
