The Moon Howler in folklore and history

Wolves howl to find each other and to tell other packs where they are, and a howl can carry for kilometres. The tie between werewolves and the full moon is younger than most people think: films of the 20th century made it famous, while older tales more often blamed curses, magic salves or a belt of wolf skin. The Moon Howler takes the best of both.
